However, I absolutely loved the collection presented in this book. First off, African plays and poetry are very different that those of other parts of the world, mainly in the way that they are presented and meant to be performed.|About the Author|Biodun Jeyifo is Professor of English at Cornell University, and a Nigerian native.  His books include The Truthful Lie: Essays in a Sociology of African Drama, Wole Soyinka: A Voice of Africa, The Yoruba Popular Travelling Theatre of Niger
